Overview

Tri-County Help Center is a private, non-profit organization specialized in mental wellness and anti-violence programs in southeast Ohio serving Belmont, Harrison and Monroe counties. TCHC believes in a holistic, person-centered approach to trauma-informed care. TCHC's mental health services are nationally accredited ensuring a commitment to high standards for quality, safety, and person-centered care. Counseling is provided in-person or by telehealth to men, women, adults and children (age 5+) to help manage personal challenges or difficulties: low self-esteem, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship issues (family tension, parenting challenges, partner differences), and major life changes (divorce, loss, relocation, school or work pressures, exploring personal values). Experienced counselors facilitate person-centered treatment using CBT, DBT or EMDR modalities. Case management is available to individuals who need extra support and linkage to community resources to achieve stability and independence. TCHC accepts Ohio Medicaid, Medicare, various private insurances and offers a sliding-fee scale for counseling and case management services. (*Sliding-fee scale is available to Belmont, Harrison or Monroe county residents only.) Additionally, TCHC provides free advocacy support to individuals and families living with or who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault and/or human trafficking. Trained advocates are available for 24-hour hotline support to listen, help you understand your options, and support you in finding the healing path that is right for you. Shelter is a safe, communal living space for adult survivors and their children seeking to end the cycle of abuse. If a survivor chooses to seek medical treatment, a law enforcement report or is involved in the court process, TCHC Advocates offer medical, legal and law enforcement accompaniment standing alongside survivors through exams, interviews and court proceedings. Advocates offer emotional support, education on victim's rights, and share resources to other helpful programs. Everyone's journey to healing is different -- TCHC provides information, helps you explore options, and respects whatever choice you make, while walking beside you however long you need.
