Overview
Newbridge Place is a non-profit organization providing 24-hour residential care and long-term housing for individuals with severe mental illness and traumatic brain injuries since 1998. They serve residents with conditions including paranoid schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, major affective disorders, and PTSD, with many clients having dual diagnoses of substance dependence. The facility distinguishes itself through comprehensive support services including supervised medication management, life skills training, mental health services, work programs, and social activities, all while maintaining a home-like atmosphere that promotes dignity and independence. Newbridge Veterans Place was launched in 2016 to provide affordable housing and essential support services for veterans facing financial hardship and significant mental health challenges. This program serves as a lifeline for veterans at risk of homelessness, offering a stable and secure living environment while also addressing their mental health, substance abuse, and daily living needs. Admission criteria are Medicaid eligibility and RSS application.
