Overview Alta Care Group was established in 1976 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, multi-service behavioral health care treatment and comprehensive preschool organization. It is the mission of Alta Care Group to support the social, emotional, behavioral, educational, and physical well-being of children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Today, the staff consists of over 350 people, offering a full range of outpatient Behavioral Health services to an average of over 2,500 children each year as well as serving over 900 students in our Head Start program. Alta services children from infancy through the transitional age range of 26. Services and programs are provided at one of our 6 Behavioral Health facilities and/or 21 Alta Head Start location, as well as a wide variety of community settings and homes.
