Overview
Positive Leaps is a child-focused behavioral health organization based in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area. The organization specializes in providing evidence-based mental and behavioral health services for children and adolescents, with a strong emphasis on early intervention. Founded to support children experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, Positive Leaps works with youth typically ranging from toddler/preschool age through adolescence (about ages 2–18). Our goal is to help children develop emotional regulation, healthy coping skills, communication abilities, and positive social behaviors so they can succeed at home, in school, and in relationships. Services provided at Positive Leaps include: Day Treatment (5 days a week for about 7 hours a day) and Intensive Outpatient (three days a week for three hours a day) services for children ages 3–8 with significant behavioral or emotional challenges in a structured, classroom-like therapeutic setting. Children receive behavior intervention, skill-building individual and group activities, and social skills training daily and are provided continuous supervision by trained mental health staff in a therapeutic environment with high staff-to-child ratio and individualized treatment planning to support consistent progress and measurable outcomes for children Outpatient Therapy services available for children and teens ages 2-18, including individual and family therapy. Sessions are typically scheduled once per week with a clinician and focus on a range of areas, such as emotion regulation, ADHD, aggression, defiance, tantrums, social challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, behavior issues in the home, school, or community, and assisting parents and caregivers with understanding their child's behavior as well as learning effective coping, management, communication, and intervention strategies.
